The following is a timeline of key events in the 12 Monkeys universe.

Original Timeline

1955

• Jonathan Foster is born

• December 3: Leland Goines is born

1980

• October 3: Cassandra Railly is born in Syracuse, New York
• Katarina Werner is born around this year, in Dresden, Germany.

1985

• August 28: Jennifer Goines is born
• Annapurna Remains discovered

Goines examines the Annapurna Remains. ("Shonin")

1987

• November 21: José Ramse and James Cole arrive from 2043 in Tokyo. ("Shonin")
• November 21: Leland Goines meets with Nakano at the White Dragon in Tokyo to purchase the Annapurna Remains. ("Shonin")
• November 21: James Cole confronts Leland Goines about the Army of the 12 Monkeys. ("Shonin")
• November 21: Ramse and Cole engage in a fight and Cole is grievously injured. ("Shonin")
• November 21: Cole splinters away. Ramse is taken into police custody and placed in jail. ("Shonin")

Ramse deals with prison life. ("Shonin")

1988

• Ramse begins to spar with inmates in prison. He also receives a letter from Olivia. ("Shonin")

1990

• Ramse continues to receive contact from Olivia and begins learning from great philosophers through books. ("Shonin")

Ramse joins the 12 Monkeys. ("Shonin")

1991

• Jennifer is almost drowned by her mother. ("Causality")

1992

• Ramse continues to practice his newfound learnings.("Shonin")

1995

• Ramse is released from prison. He meets with the Army of the 12 Monkeys and is recruited into their fold. ("Shonin")
• Using his knowledge of the future, Ramse helps the 12 Monkeys amass huge wealth. ("Shonin")

Cole is accidentally sent to 2006. ("Mentally Divergent")

2006

• En route to 2015, Cole accidentally arrives in North Korea. He is taken into custody but is soon slingshot to safety. ("Mentally Divergent")

2011

• Ramse, under the alias of Ethan Seki, encourages investment in the Markridge Group. ("Shonin")
• Jennifer Goines enters the Night Room for the first time, a mobile laboratory containing the Annapurna Remains.

  

  Jennifer Goines witnesses the Night Room massacre. ("Mentally Divergent")

• The 12 Monkeys invade Markridge looking for the Night Room. They kill all but one of Jennifer's colleagues - Henri Toussaint - and frame her for their deaths. ("Mentally Divergent", "The Night Room")

2012

• October: Jennifer is incarcerated at J.D. People's Mental Hospital. ("Cassandra Complex")

Cassie gives a presentation on pandemics. ("Splinter")

2013

• January 4: Cassandra "Cassie" Railly gives a presentation about pandemic preparedness at a medical conference in Baltimore, Maryland. ("Splinter")
• January 4: James Cole time travels from 2043 and abducts Cassie. He demands to know the location of "Leland Frost," but Cassie does not know who this is. ("Splinter")
• January 4: Cole warns Cassie of a pandemic breakout in 2016 and scratches Cassie's watch to prove he is from the future. ("Splinter")
• January 4: Cole, realizing he is in the wrong year, requests for Cassie to meet him in two years at the John Adams Hotel. ("Splinter")
• In the months following her abduction, Cassie tries to prepare for the coming virus and is slowly shunned by the medical community.

Cole confronts Henri Toussaint. ("Cassandra Complex")

2014

• A viral outbreak in Haiti is set off by the Army of the 12 Monkeys to draw Henri Touissant out. ("Cassandra Complex")
• November: Cassie believes this to be the virus Cole warned her about and immediately flies to Haiti. ("Cassandra Complex")
• November: James Cole splinters to 2014 to meet with Henri Touissant and gain information about the Night Room. After learning about how to identify the Night Room, Cole kills Toussaint to protect the information from the 12 Monkeys. ("Cassandra Complex")
• Jennifer asks her father to help her break out of J.D. People's Mental Hospital. He refuses. ("Shonin")
• Cassie's overreaction to the outbreak further damages her reputation. She soon stops practicing medicine.
• Markridge Group takes a deal with the CIA that will ultimately develop in Operation: Troy.

2015

Cassie finally reunites with Cole, after two years of waiting. ("Splinter")

January-July

• Cole and Cassie reunite at the John Adams Hotel. ("Splinter")
• Cole learns that "Leland Frost" is actually Leland Goines, CEO of the Markridge Group. ("Splinter")

  

  Cole kills Goines by using Cassie's two watches to create a time paradox. ("Splinter")

• The two locate Leland Goines. Cole kills Goines but is not erased. He hears of the Army of the 12 Monkeys before Goines is killed and returns to 2043 with a new lead. ("Splinter")

  

  Cole first meets Jennifer Goines. ("Mentally Divergent")

• Cole learns of Jennifer Goines and enters JD Peoples Mental Hospital to find out more information. She tells him about the existence, but not location, of the Night Room. ("Mentally Divergent")

July

• July 6: Cole and Cassie find the Night Room They confront the 12 Monkeys and destroy the virus. Cassie is abducted. ("The Night Room")
• July 6: Cole and Aaron pursue the 12 Monkeys to a greenhouse where they save Cassie.
• July 6: Cassie is drugged and sees visions of the Red Forest and The Witness. ("The Red Forest")

  

  Cassie sees vision of the 'Red Forest' ("The Red Forest")

• July 20: Operation: Troy is initiated to kill Adam Wexler, a former CIA analyst turned whistleblower, with the virus. ("The Keys")
• July 20: The Chechnya compound, holding Wexler, is bombed by the CIA and Cole is seemingly erased. In actuality, he splinters to 2017. ("The Keys")

August-November

• August: Cassie visits Chechnya to view the blast site. She believes Cole was "erased" and prevented the pandemic. ("Yesterday")
• Cole ultimately returns, shocking Cassie and Aaron, who falsely believed he had accomplished his mission. ("Divine Move")
• Cole and Cassie track down Oliver Peters, the man responsible for providing the Operation Troy virus. They find his journal, which points them to the White Dragon in Tokyo, 1987. ("Divine Move")

  

  Olivia recruits Jennifer. ("Shonin")

• The 12 Monkeys find Jennifer. Olivia convinces her to join their cause, by speaking to her about being a daughter. ("Shonin")
• Olivia begins exerting influence on Senator Royce. ("Shonin")
• Project Spearhead is developed to provide a secure refuge for key figures such as government officials, the military, and scientists in case of a disaster. ("Yesterday")

  

  Katarina speaks to her father about joining Raritan. ("Paradox")

• Cole is slingshot to 2015 from 1987. He is dying from his encounter with Ramse. ("Shonin")
• Cassie recruits Katarina Jones to help save him. ("Paradox")
• October: Jennifer Goines undertakes a hostile takeover Markridge and becomes CEO. ("Paradox")
• Cassie and Jones find the 2015 child Cole and his father. ("Paradox")
• Cole injects himself with blood from his younger self, causing a paradox that destroys the bookstore. ("Paradox")
• James Cole's father, Matthew Cole, is shot and killed by the 12 Monkeys. ("Paradox")

• Young James Cole is brought to the orphanage and meets Young Ramse. ("Paradox")
• Ramse funds Project Splinter, research led by Elliot Jones which results in the creation of the time travel machine. ("Arms of Mine")
• November 11: Ramse, as Ethan Seki, is shot and killed by Cassie in the lab he helped to finance. ("Arms of Mine")
• November 11: Cole sends Cassie to 2043 to save her from a gunshot wound. ("Arms of Mine")

2016

• February 8: Jennifer Goines deploys the virus in Manhattan on the day of the Chinese New Year. ("Year of the Monkey")
• The world slowly begins to succumb to the virus.

The world faces mass death due to the pandemic. ("Splinter")

2017

• The virus kills 7 billion people. The few who survive become scavengers or hide underground. ("Splinter")
• James Cole appears in Chechnya at the height of the plague, after an unintentional time jump from 2015. ("Tomorrow")
• Cole tracks down Cassie, who is working tirelessly at the CDC headquarters.
• The West VII Quarantine Zone is established. At some point in the following years, scavenger leader Theodore Deacon slaughters the inhabitants of the zone and adopts their name for his group. ("Tomorrow")
• A sick Cassie records a message for future survivors, “The plague starts with Leland Frost. [...] Please Cole.” ("Splinter")
• Cassie dies in Cole's arms. She gives him a note with Jones's address on it to help her 2015 self locate Jones when Cole returns from Tokyo and is dying. ("Tomorrow")

2020

• Katarina Jones' daughter, Hannah, dies. This inspires her to invent time travel, in an effort to undo the plague. ("Lullaby")

Cole and Ramse first meet Deacon ("Atari")

2032

• Cole and Ramse fight and kill several members of the West VII. Impressed, Deacon offers them membership in the group and they accept. ("Atari")

The Spearhead community faces mass deaths after the virus mutates. ("Yesterday")

2033

• The virus mutates, killing about more than half the survivors of the first strain. ("Yesterday")
• Foster launches a coup, after the Spearhead community considers moving location. ("Yesterday")
• Katarina Jones leaves Spearhead for Project Splinter. ("Yesterday")

2035

• Cole is asked by Deacon to kill Ramse, but refuses. Instead, they both flee the West VII. ("Atari")

2039

• Ramse leaves Elena, who is pregnant with Sam. ("Yesterday")

Jones gives Cole his mission. ("Splinter")

2041

• Cole and Ramse are captured by Project Splinter. Cole is recruited by Jones to prevent the pandemic, "You're going to help me change the world, Mr Cole." ("Splinter", "Tomorrow")

2043

Cole finds Cassie's decomposed body. ("Splinter")

• James Cole and José Ramse search the CDC facility in Baltimore. Cole finds Cassie's decomposed body and removes the watch. ("Splinter")

  

  Cole prepares for his time jump to 'save the world'. ("Splinter")

• Cole time travels to 2013 to track and kill "Leland Frost". He succeeds, but is shocked to find out it did not prevent the pandemic. ("Splinter")
• The team begins digging into the 12 Monkeys, believing them to be the actual cause of the pandemic. ("Splinter")
• Raritan National Laboratory is invaded by West VII, but they are defeated. ("Atari")
• Ramse meets his son, Samuel. ("Yesterday")
• Jones attacks Spearhead and steals their DARPA core. ("Tomorrow")
• Ramse tries to sabotage Project Splinter, in an effort to keep his son alive. ("Divine Move")
• Ramse meets Jennifer, who is now leading an all-female group of scavengers, "The Daughters". ("Divine Move")
• Ramse travels back in time to 1987 in an effort to sabotage Project Splinter. Cole follows. ("Divine Move")
• Cole's tether breaks. He will never return to 2043. ("Shonin")

  

  The Messengers begin their journey to the past. ("Year of the Monkey")

• The Messengers invade the facility with assistance from Deacon. ("Paradox", "Arms of Mine")
• December: Cassie arrives from 2015 with a gunshot wound. ("Arms of Mine")
• December: After securing the time machine, Mantis and 5 other Messengers are sent back in time. ("Year of the Monkey")

Alternate Timeline

2015

• After splintering away from the Night Room, Cole is unable to save Cassie and she dies. ("The Night Room")
• Operation: Troy goes off without any intervention from Cassie, releasing the plague a year early. ("The Red Forest")

2043

• Cole returns to a different future than the one he remembers. In it, West VII has control over the facility. He heads back to 2015 before he splintered away from the Night Room. He intends to save Cassie. If he is successful, he will restore the Original Timeline. ("The Red Forest")

Third Timeline

This timeline is created after Cassie prevents Jennifer from unleashing the plague during Chinese New Years in 2016.

November 2015

• Ramse is shot by Cassie. Cassie is in turn shot as well. Cole sends Cassie to the future to be saved by Jones. ("Arms of Mine")
• Cole chooses to save Ramse's life, changing the future. ("Year of the Monkey")

Cole and Ramse work together against the 12 Monkeys. ("Year of the Monkey")

2016

• Cole and Ramse are on the run from the 12 Monkeys, who wish to kill them and restore balance to the timeline. ("Year of the Monkey")
• February 8: They track Jennifer Goines to Manhattan as she is about to release the virus. ("Year of the Monkey")
• Cassie arrives from 2044 with the intention to kill Jennifer to stop the plague. ("Year of the Monkey")

Cassie changes history by preventing Jennifer from unleashing the virus. ("Year of the Monkey")

2018

• May 6: The Washington Examiner warns "Pandemic Could Sweep Globe By 2019" ("Primary")
• August 4: The New York Examiner reports on Cassie's work on the epidemic. ("Primary")

2043

• December: The Messengers invade the facility and are defeated by Cassie, Jones, and Deacon. ("Year of the Monkey")
• Six Messengers, however, utilize the time machine and go to an unknown point, or points, in time. ("Year of the Monkey")

  

  Cole is given a picture of himself from 1944. ("Primary")

• The time machine is badly damaged. ("Year of the Monkey")

2044

• August 2: Cassie travels to 2016 to stop Jennifer from releasing the plague. ("Year of the Monkey")
• Cassie returns from 2016, surprised to see a pandemic still happened. Only herself, Cole, Jones and Ramse remember the original timeline. ("Primary")
• Cole returns to 2044, with Jennifer's help. ("Primary")
• Using information found on a photo of himself in a hotel, Cole and Cassie decide to travel to 1944, creating an alternate timeline. ("One Hundred Years")

Fourth Timeline

This timeline is created after Cole and Cassie begin altering the past to prevent Messengers from paradoxing Primaries.

A young Kirschner is visited by The Witness. ("Fatherland")

1925

• Lillian is first admitted to St Mary's Mercy Asylum for the Insane. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

• A young Albert Kirschner is visited by The Witness and tasked with creating a breed of people immune to the ravages of time: The Messengers. ("Fatherland")

1940

• Cassie and Cole chase Athan through time. ("Witness")

Mantis kills Glennis. ("Primary")

1944

• Mantis, a Messenger sent from 2044, kills and impersonates a woman, Glennis Applebaum, in order to get closer to her target, Thomas Crawford. ("One Hundred Years")
• July: Cole arrives in 1944, two months ahead of schedule. ("One Hundred Years")
• August 30: Ramse arrives from 2044 to bring Cassie and Cole back to the future. ("Emergence")
• September 1: Ramse awakens in a hospital after being hit by a car. ("Emergence")
• September 1: Cassie finally arrives, teaming up with Cole to track down Mantis and the other Messenger. ("One Hundred Years")
• September 1: The Messengers assassinate the wrong Thomas Crawford, killing the father instead of the son. ("One Hundred Years")

  

  Thomas Crawford Jr's death causes a paradox. ("One Hundred Years")

• September 2: Cassie and Cole realize that the Messengers killed the wrong man, and try to save Thomas Crawford Jr. ("One Hundred Years")
• September 2: Mantis kills Thomas Crawford Jr., creating a paradox. ("One Hundred Years")
• September 2: Ramse flees his hospital, but arrives too late to stop the paradox. He rescues Cole and Cassie from FBI agent Robert Gale, who overhears them talk about "2044". ("Emergence")

  

  Olivia is raised in windowless room. ("Fatherland")

• September 3: the FBI agent tracks down Cole and brings him to Mantis. Cole tells him the truth about time travel. Gale witnesses them traveling back to 2044. ("Emergence")

1950s

• Olivia Kirschner is raised in a small, windowless room.("Fatherland")

Charlie decides to stab his wife, causing a paradox. ("Blood Washed Away")

1957

• January: Cole and Cassie arrive, set on achieving their "last-chance mission" to save time: identify and save the Primary who could destroy the world. ("Blood Washed Away")
• November 5: Cole and Cassie remain clueless about the identity of the Primary. ("Blood Washed Away")
• November 7: Cole falsely identifies Reginald Dupuy as the Primary. It is, in fact, his colleague Charlie's wife. Charlie is a Messenger with doubts about The Witness. ("Blood Washed Away")
• November 7: Charlie stabs his wife in New York's Maxwell factory, creating a paradox. ("Fatherland", "Blood Washed Away")
• November 25: Cole visits Cassie, who's now in a coma at the hospital, asking her to 'forget he exists'. ("Blood Washed Away")

1958

• May: Cassie wakes up after 6 months in a coma. ("Blood Washed Away")
• November: Cassie works as a nurse. ("Blood Washed Away")

Cassie is reunited with Cole. ("Blood Washed Away")

1959

• Cassie continues living her life in the '50s, unaware of Cole's fate after the 1957 explosion. ("Blood Washed Away")
• Cassie tracks down Cole, living under the name of 'Morris Morrison', after a year of being separated. ("Blood Washed Away")
• Cassie begins to realize she's already seen aspects of her life in 1959 during her drug-induced vision of the Red Forest, "I've been here before." ("Blood Washed Away")
• Cassie and Cole admit their feelings for one another, and share their first kiss. ("Blood Washed Away")
• A group of soldiers are splintered in the Raritan National Laboratory, reappearing in 2044. ("Meltdown")
• December: Cassie and Cole spend their Christmas together. Cole gifts Cassie with a butterfly pin. Cassie reveals she's pregnant with his child. ("Memory of Tomorrow")
• December: a vision of a bleeding Lillian appears to Cole and tells him, "It's not over James." ("Memory of Tomorrow")
• December: Cole visits Lillian at St Mary's Mercy Asylum for the Insane. She tells him "time is collapsing all around us" and explains that, by eating the Red Forest's leaves, he can travel back to any time he's visited before. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

Olivia first learns about The Witness through Mantis. ("Fatherland")

1961

• August 12: Ramse and Cassie drug Cole unconscious, having fooled him into believing they splintered to 1957. ("Fatherland")
• August 13: Cole awakens and speak to FBI agent Robert Gale, who he previously met in 1944. ("Fatherland")
• August 13: Kirschner is captured in East Berlin by the Mossad. Ramse, Cassie, Cole and Gale rescue him, and ask him about Titan and The Witness. ("Fatherland")
• August 13: Gale sacrifices himself to help the group cross the Berlin Wall. ("Fatherland")
• August 13: Kirschner dies in a shoot-out with Mantis' group. Mantis captures and flees with a young Olivia, preventing Cole's group from getting her. ("Fatherland")
• August 13: Ramse manages to tear off a piece of the "Word of the Witness" and splinters back to 2044. ("Fatherland")

1971

• Pallid Man visits his mother, Mantis, on her deathbed. She tells him the 12 Monkeys will 'show him his path' and help him 'set things right'. ("Emergence")

1974

• Kyle Slade begins a killing spree, murdering and dismembering 12 people. ("Immortal")

Cole and Ramse arrive in 1975. ("Immortal")

1975

• July 1: Cole and Ramse arrive from 2044 to prevent the Messengers from paradoxing Kyle Slade. ("Immortal")
• July 2: Ramse kills a Messenger. ("Immortal")
• July 2: Slade tells Cole he is killing Primaries to prevent the Messengers from paradoxing them. ("Immortal")
• July 2: Slade takes Cole to a man he claims is "The Witness". Cole warns Slade that the person is not The Witness, but rather a Messenger. ("Immortal")
• July 2: Cole kills Slade. ("Immortal")
• July 2: Cole and Ramse splinter back to 2044. ("Immortal")

Cassie speaks to The Witness, taking the shape of Aaron. ("Immortal")

2016

• Jennifer decides to take pills to stop the voices in her head. ("Bodies of Water")
• Cassie arrives from 2044, meeting Jennifer at the Emerson Hotel. ("Bodies of Water")
• Cassie and Jennifer are captured by the 12 Monkeys. Jennifer sees a map of the other Primaries. Cassie is drugged and sees the Red Forest again. ("Bodies of Water")
• Jennifer stabs Olivia. Pallid Man finds her afterwards and tells her he's 'disappointed in her'. ("Bodies of Water")
• He asks The Witness to put him charge on the cycle; The Witness accepts. ("Bodies of Water")
• Cassie decides to stay in 2016 to watch after Jennifer. ("Immortal")
• Cassie has a vision of Aaron, who tells him the 12 Monkeys "are not the enemy". She eventually realizes it's not actually Aaron, but "The Witness". ("Immortal")
• Jennifer sets her sights on killing the Pallid Man. ("Hyena")
• Cole arrives from 2044 and helps Jennifer kidnap Peters to use him as bait to capture the Pallid Man. ("Hyena")
• Cole interrogates the Pallid Man, demanding to know the identity of the last Primary. Pallid Man claims he's in 1957 and could create "a paradox so powerful, it destroys the fabric time". ("Hyena")
• The Pallid Man eventually reveals that he intentionally got caught as part of a trap, exploding the hospital containing Peters and the Hyenas. ("Hyena")
• The Pallid Man asks Elliot Jones to build Titan. ("Hyena")
• Cole returns to 2016, from 2044, to bring young Jennifer to 2044. ("Resurrection")

Cassie arrives in 2020. ("Lullaby')

2020

• Cassie is sent to Spearhead to kill Jones. ("Lullaby")
• Cole arrives to stop Cassie from pursuing her mission. Cassie is confused, believing she has already killed Jones. Jennifer claims they're living through a "reboot". ("Lullaby")
• Cole and Cassie face a 'Groundhog Day' scenario, reliving the same day as soon as Jones is killed. ("Lullaby")
• Cole and Cassie are finally splintered back to 2044, after making Jones believe Hannah had died. In fact, Cassie rescues her and send her away to be raised by the Daughters. ("Lullaby")

Hannah reveals herself to Jones. ("Lullaby")

2044

• Ramse is sent to 1944, after Cole and Cassie fail their mission. ("One Hundred Years")
• Jennifer explains the 12 Monkeys' ultimate plan to Jones by showing her "the Red Forest". ("Emergence")
• Cole, Ramse and Cassie return from 1944, having failed their mission. ("Emergence")
• Cassie is sent back to 2016 to track down Jennifer and gain her help in protecting Primaries from the 12 Monkeys. ("Bodies of Water")
• Cole and Ramse trick Deacon, leading him straight to his rival Foreman. Deacon manages to kill Foreman and fight his way back. ("Bodies of Water")

  

  The Keeper speaks to Cassie and Cole. ("Hyena")

• Cole and Ramse travel back to 1975 to prevent Kyle Slade from being paradoxed. They succeed in their mission and return. ("Immortal")
• A former test subject, Marshall, returns to 2044, deformed. Cole kills him. ("Immortal")
• Deacon and Eckland kill a soldier who splintered from 1959. ("Immortal")
• Eckland sacrifices himself to fix the time machine. ("Immortal")
• Cassie is possessed by The Witness and sees a vision of the Titan machine. ("Immortal")
• Sam is accidentally splintered away to 2023 during a machine core malfunction. ("Immortal", "Guardians")
• Jones sends Cassie back to 2020, asking her to kill a younger version of her. ("Lullaby")
• After 24 years apart, Jones is reunited with an older version of Hannah. ("Lullaby")
• Cassie offers Ramse a chance to get revenge against The Witness, by killing him in Titan. ("Lullaby")
• Cole jumps to 2016 to kill the Pallid Man. ("Hyena")
• Cassie and Ramse visit "The Keeper" at the House of Truth to learn more about the location of Titan. He provides them with a document that mentions "East Germany, 1961, Dr Kirschner". ("Hyena")
• September 23: Cole faces off against Cassie and Ramse for access to the machine. Cole wants to splinter to 1957, while the others want to splinter straight to Titan. ("Resurrection")
• September 23: Jennifer is shot by Deacon. Cole travels back to 2016 to bring younger Jennifer to 2044. ("Bodies of Water", "Resurrection")
• September 23: Young Jennifer speaks to a dying, older Jennifer. Older Jennifer tells young Jennifer to pick: let Cole travel to 1957 or let Ramse's group travel to Titan, "There are many endings and the right one is the one you choose." ("Resurrection")
• September 23: Jennifer decides to let Cole use the machine and take Ramse's group to Titan over land instead. ("Resurrection")
• September 23: Cole travels back to 1957. Cassie has a last-minute change of heart and follows Cole. ("Resurrection")
• September 23: Katarina disintegrates as the red clouds reach her. ("Resurrection")
• Ramse's group fail their mission, as they are all executed by The Witness' men. ("Blood Washed Away")

Fifth Timeline

• Cassie and Cole chase The Witness (Athan) through time. ("Witness")

• Cole's group meets with Elliot Jones and tryy to destroy Titan together. Deacon shoots Elliot. ("Legacy")

1879

• The Witness, who goes by Athan, is a young adult, having been raised in different time periods by the sole surviving Guardian of 1953’s massacre. Athan starts writing the Word of the Witness. ("Masks")

1891

• Cassie and Cole come face to face with Athan, who flees through time. ("Witness")
• June 26: The now adult Athan, having traveled and lived through countless decades, meets a woman named Eliza. Athan falls in love with her, but she later dies. Athan is crushed, and we see why he became someone that wanted to destroy time. ("Thief")
• June 26: Athan changes history by saving Eliza. Only to have her die again later on. He attempts to save her in 607 other circumstances. ("Thief")

1899

• Cassie and Cole are nearly caught by Jones (but saved by Jennifer) before getting a vital clue on the Witness’ location. ("Masks")

Jennifer splinters to 1917. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

1917

• Jennifer is accidentally splintered by Titan from 2045 to France during WWI. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

1921

• Jennifer, still stuck, writes postcards for Jones and Cole to find in the future in hopes of rescue. She also starts performing in one-woman shows. ("Guardians")

1922

• Cole and Jones rescue Jennifer from being killed by a 'Horseman'. ("Guardians")
• Cole is shot by Magdalena and immediately reverses time, telling Cole, "Oh, we never met. Now, we never will." ("Guardians")
• Magdalena arrives from five months later to warn the guardians of the Witness of Cole’s arrival months later. They immediately leave France, altering the timeline so that five months later Cole, Jones and Jennifer never encounter them. ("Guardians")
• Cole and Jones relive the past day, with their memories of the previous version of events intact. ("Guardians")
• Cole, Jones and Jennifer splinter back to 2045. ("Guardians")

1940

• Cole's group travels back to steal 'Die Glocke', a bell owned by the Nazis. ("Die Glocke")

1953

• Cole and Cassie provide Gale with parts of the Word of the Witness. ("Nature")
• A mining disaster happens in Hope Valley. Gale suspects the 12 Monkeys are recruiting the family of the victims. ("Nature")
• Cassie, posing as the wife of a mining victim, convinces "The Missionary", Zalmon Shaw, to invite her to a "wake". ("Nature")
• Cole and Jennifer steal a magnet from Raritan. ("Nurture")
• December 22: Cole and Cassie tell Gale how he dies in 1961. ("Nature")
• December 22: Cole and Cassie attend a "wake" hosted by Zalmon and Mantis. It ends in a massacre, as the attendees are gassed to death by Athan. Cole and Cassie splinter away. ("Nature")

• Cole and Ramse splinter from 2046. Unbeknownst to Cole, Ramse plans to kill Cassie. ("Brothers")
• Ramse kills a woman, falsely believing she's Cassie. ("Brothers")
• Cole catches on to Ramse's lies. Ramse admits his true intent, telling Cole, "The Witness is your son." ("Brothers")
• Cole shoots Ramse, presumably killing him. ("Brothers")
• Jones splinters to the moment Cole shoots Ramse. She realizes Cassie has been lying to her. ("Nurture")

2009?

• Athan visits his mother after she loses her fist patient. She tells him "All we're doing is fighting the clock. And it always wins." This inspires him to create the Army of the 12 Monkeys. ("Thief")

2015

• Cole's father reads a poem written by his mother to him as a child. ("Witness")

2017

• Jennifer is visited by two kids at Eliza's grave. ("Witness")
• Athan arrives from 1959 and is nursed back to health, with Jennifer's help. ("Witness")

2018

• July 31: Jennifer jumps in front of a train to avoid capture. A future version of Cole saves her. ("Ouroboros")
• August 1: Cole meets with Jennifer. ("Ouroboros")

2043

• Cole, Cassie and Jones splinter to the day Cole first splintered. ("Ouroboros")

2044

• Jones reappears, alone at the facility, unclear about what has happened. She has to fend off against scavengers for the year to come. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

2045

• Jones greets Cole and Cassie , telling them, "The Red Forest is gone, for now. A memory of tomorrow." ("Memory of Tomorrow")
• Cole warns Jones that Ramse is walking into a trap at Titan. They decide to splinter to Titan together to prevent the attack. ("Memory of Tomorrow")
• Cole's group successfully saves Ramse from The Witness' trap. ("Memory of Tomorrow")
• Cassie mysteriously begins regaining memories from her life with Cole in alternate 1959. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

• Ramse is forced to kill his son, who has been severely injured by a Witness attack. Sam asks him to trust Olivia before he dies. ("Guardians")
• Olivia tells Ramse that he must kill Cassie to prevent the birth of The Witness. ("Enemy")
• Cole and Jones splinter back to 1922 and rescue Jennifer. ("Guardians")
• Ramse brings Olivia to the facility as a prisoner. She is tortured and eventually reveals that The Witness can be killed in 2007. ("Enemy")

Cassie is shocked to learn her child is The Witness. ("Memory of Tomorrow")

• Deacon is kept as a prisoner and sees visions of his father. ("Enemy")
• Cole scours the world of 2163 for months, hopelessly looking for Titan and Cassie. ("Mother")
• Cole tracks Titan down, but is splintered away by a future version of himself before he can reach Cassie. ("Mother")
• Cassie tries to commit suicide, but is splintered back to an earlier version of herself in 2163. Future Magdalena warned past Magdalena of Cassie's attempt. ("Mother")
• Titan splinters back to 2046. ("Mother")

Final Timeline

Having saved time by sacrificing himself, there is technically no James Cole. The Cole from the preceding timelines is saved by being splintered into an alternate timeline where the show's events did not occur and he does not really exist. He and Cassie live happily here. The Jones' are alive and united. Etc.
