Background
Thomas Crawford Jr., the son of scientist Thomas Crawford, is a patient in a mental asylum. He draws images of monkeys (similar to those Jennifer Goines will draw in 2016) on the walls of his room.

After Mantis and another messenger killed Thomas Crawford, Sr. and whatever result they expected did not materialize, they searched for Crawford Jr. Cole and Railly found him first, and he called both of them by name despite never having met them. Mantis forced Railly to turn Crawford over to her and killed him with a piece of his breast bone she had brought with her from 2044, causing a temporal paradox. Mantis, Railly, and Cole were thrown through the air and knocked unconscious; Crawford died.
