Nakano met Leland Goines at the White Dragon nightclub in Tokyo. He attempted to sell Goines some ancient human remains, claiming they were extremely valuable. When James Cole and José Ramse fought in the nightclub, he broke up the fight, then threw them a knife and let them resume, making it a death match. After Ramse had stabbed Cole and Goines had bought the remains, Nakano ordered his men to take Ramse away and kill Cole, but the latter splintered away before Nakano's men could carry out his order.
