Jeremy was a family friend of Cassandra Railly and a former NSA agent.

2015[]
Sometime after she met Cole in 2013, Railly had asked Jeremy to find the identity of "Leland Frost." She brought Cole to meet Jeremy, and he told them that Leland Frost's real name was Leland Goines.
After Railly learned of the Army of the 12 Monkeys from Goines, she asked Jeremy to investigate them. When Jeremy failed to respond to her phone calls, she returned to his house to find him murdered by the Pallid Man, who warned Railly to stop asking questions.
